Guest Speaker – Razan Ibrahim

Razan Ibraheem is an Irish-Syrian journalist and activist whose personal connection to the Syrian crisis has shaped a career defined by courage and purpose. She came to Ireland to complete her MA at the University of Limerick, and went on to volunteer helping refugees in Greece — an experience she describes as life-changing.
Razan has spoken alongside UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and was invited to a high-level UN meeting in Geneva. She contributed research to a Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times visual investigation in 2020, and spent six years as Assistant Editor at Storyful News Agency, followed by a role at Kinzen. She also served on the Amnesty Ireland board for six years.
In 2016, she was named International Woman of the Year by Irish Tatler
